The Equine Brain: Structure, Function, and Behavior course is ideal for veterinarians, trainers, equine professionals, and enthusiasts. This innovative program delves into the anatomy and physiology of the equine brain, exploring its role in behavior, emotions, learning, and overall well-being.

Participants will uncover the neurological processes that shape equine instincts, social interactions, and responses to training, gaining insights into how the brain’s unique prey-animal design influences behavior. The course also examines the impact of stress and trauma on brain function and long-term mental health, equipping learners with strategies for improving equine welfare through neuroscience-based care and training practices.

This course is delivered online along with supporting downloadable course materials. It is  is broken down into modules which will include online tutorials, a comprehensive manual to download, and video demos. Within each module, you’ll be guided through a variety of slides including informative text, engaging videos, and downloadable materials.

Before you watch our demos, you will first go through our training manual, that way, you’ll have a grasp of the subject matter before seeing it in action.
